Fun with Television
Fall/Winter TV shows seem to be the best. Maybe because the shows are really good this season, and maybe because it feels so good to snuggle up under a blanket in this cold weather. I have a wide variety of different shows because I enjoy watching anything from comedies to reality, with a mix of science fiction.
My Top 15 Television Shows I Can’t Get Enough Of
Vanderpump Rules – Monday’s on BRAVO (4 Seasons)
A reality television series featuring The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmember Lisa Vanderpump and her staff at Vanderpump’s West Hollywood restaurant, SUR.
The Bachelor – Monday’s on ABC (19 Seasons)
This reality show is either loved or hated by many people. Some people think it’s completely fake and stupid, and others (like myself) actually enjoy this “dating game show” in hopes of watching other find love.
Chicago PD – Wednesday’s on NBC (3 Seasons)
The main reason I wanted to start watching this show was because of actress Sophia Bush. “This show follows District 21 of the Chicago Police Department which is composed of the uniformed cops who deal with street crimes, and the Intelligent Unit which deals with major crimes like drug trafficking and high-profile murders. Sgt. Hank Voight — a tough boss who doesn’t mind bending the rules a little in the pursuit of justice — heads the unit’s elite team. The responsibilites of life on the force take a toll on the officers, as they struggle to balance their personal lives with the strain of the job.”
Young & Hungry – Wednesday’s on FreeForm (3 Seasons)
“Feisty young food blogger Gabi is desperate for a job. When she finds out wealthy tech entrepreneur Josh needs a personal chef, she wants the position. But Gabi must prove herself to Josh’s aide, Elliot, who would rather have his boss hire a famous chef. Gabi gets help from her best friend Sophia and Josh’s housekeeper, Yolanda, in order to turn the opportuniy into employment…And maybe love.”
Teen Wolf – Tuesday’s on MTV (5 Seasons)
High School student Scott McCall is walking in the woods one night and encounters a creature. He is bitten on the side of his face, and his life is changed forever. Is he a human or a warewolf? Or a little bit of both? This sci-fi drama follows the life of Scott and his mischievous friends who also happen not to be all human.
Undercover Boss – Friday’s on CBS (7 Seasons)
“High-level executives secretly go undercover within their own companies to find out how things really work, and what their employees really think of them. The series utilizes hidden cameras to provide an authentic view of the executive’s journey’s. They learn more about their company, as well as get to know some of their employee’s on a personal level.” In the end, they gift the employees with things that will change their lives forever. I have to admit that I cry during almost every episode I watch. It’s really remarkable at some of the great things these CEO’s do for people.
Shark Tank – Friday’s on ABC (7 Seasons)
“Entrepreneurs get the chance to present their ideas to “the sharks in the tank” — Kevin O’Leary, Barbara Corcoran, Daymond John, Robert Herjavec, Lori Greiner, and Mark Cuban. The contestants try to convince the sharks to invest money in their company or idea. When more than one shark wants to invest, a bidding war can erupt, driving up the price of the investment.”
The Shannara Chronicles – Tuesday’s on MTV (1 Season)
“Based on the best-selling fantasy book series by Terry Brooks. “The Shannara Chronicles” follows heroes in the Four Land’s as they embark on a quest to stop an evil Demon army from destroying the universe. Thousands of years after the fall of humankind, the world’s fate rests on the shoulders of an unlikely trioL Elvin Princess Amberle, who dreams of a life outside of the palace walls ; beautiful, wild, and wily Human Rover Eretria, and half-elf Wil, who knows nothing of the great destiny that runs through his veins.”
Better Call Saul – Monday’s on AMC (2 Seasons)

“Todd Chrisley is a self-made millionaire who has a seemingly great life in Atlanta with wife Julie, and their five children. He runs the family with an iron fist and micromanages family members.” It’s hilarious to watch their life on camera with their bold personalities.
Venom Hunters – Wednesday’s on Discovery (1 Season)
“This reality show follows 4 brave teams of expert snake hunters who have the guts and skills to chase down the world’s most venomous snakes and collect this highly toxic liquid. Each team has unique motivations and thrives on the thrill of the hunt, but they all share the same goal; saving the lives of others.”
Shades of Blue – Thursday’s on NBC (1 Season)
“Jennifer Lopez stars as New York detective Harlee Santos, a single mother who runs with a group of dirty cops, taking her cut of the bribes and protection money to give her bright and promising daughter the best life possible and a leg up for a better future. However, all good things must come to an end and she is caught by the FBI, which forces her to turn informant on her cop family. Harlee struggles to walk a line between loyalty, honor, and betrayal, all the while working to keep everything together for her daughter.”
Duck Dynasty – Wednesday’s on A&E (9 Seasons)
“The Robertsons own and operate Duck Commanders, which specializes in fabricating duck calls and decoys out of salvaged swamp wood. The company has grown from a mom-and-pop operation to a multimillionaire sporting empire, established in 1973 by family patriarch Phil (aka the Duck Commander) and now run by his business-savvy son, Willie. The show follows the family and the business and their down-to-earth personalities.”
Fit To Fat To Fit – Tuesday’s on A&E (1 Season)
“This reality show follows 10 trainers as they radically alter their diets and refrain from exercising in order to gain weight over a four-month period, then pairs them with an obese client to begin a four-month challenge to shed the pounds together.”
Guy and Hunter’s European Vacation – Friday’s on Food Network (1 Season)
“Father and son Guy and Hunter Fieri are embarking on the ultimate food-filled adventure, trekking through Europe on the hunt for unique culinary experiences.”
