Justin and I took a trip to Shaver Lake from March 17th (Saint Patrick’s Day) through today. We spend all of Thursday at China Peak snowboarding. Since I was a “first timer” I spend most of the day falling on my ass, which now includes a VERY sore tailbone.
Justin has been snowboarding since he was a kid so he was a natural. I ended up getting off the bunny hill and riding the chair lift to an “easy, but somewhat difficult mountain”, but that ended up with me riding a snowmobile down with ski patrol instead of my snowboard. All in all, it was a fun day and I had no complaints.
We stayed at his family’s cabin which is absolutely beautiful. The weather was a perfect fifty degrees throughout the day, with blue skies all around. I was a fun four days, but it’s nice to be home. Time to prepare for another work week.
Hope you had a very lovely weekend.
